Today Microsoft announced that Midtown Madness 2 has gone gold. The urban racing game puts players behind the wheels of street cars such as the Audi TT, VW Beetle, and Freightliner fire truck. The sequel features a number of new vehicles, as well as two new locations: San Francisco and London. Midtown Madness 2 also adds an enhanced physics engine that allows for new racing maneuvers like driving on two wheels and powerslides. The car models also handle damage better, and parts will break off the vehicles in extreme cases.
Midtown Madness 2 will ship in late September for a suggested retail price of US$39.99.
