Rockstar Games has announced that Midnight Club II is now shipping for the PC and is expected to be in North American stores on July 2 and in European stores on July 11. Developed at Rockstar San Diego, Midnight Club II takes the series' racing action to the streets of LA, Paris, and Tokyo and lets players drive the latest performance-enhanced cars and bikes. Since there are no set tracks, part of the challenge is finding the fastest route through the cities. The PC version of the game has online and LAN support for up to eight players and five multiplayer modes, including career and circuit races and arcade-style battle modes.

"We have spent a great deal of time to ensure that Midnight Club II is the definitive racing experience for the PC," said Dan Houser, Rockstar Games' vice president of creative. "The fast cars, bright lights, and incredible action that define Midnight Club II come across beautifully on the PC, while the network and online play are amazing."

Midnight Club II has a suggested price of $39.99. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the PC, Xbox, and PS2 versions of the game.
