Microsoft's E3 2016 Plans Detailed

Having already announced the time and date for its E3 2016 media briefing, Microsoft today confirmed more specifics about the company's plans for the big-time gaming show.

During Microsoft's E3 briefing, the company will show off previously announced games and also air never-before-seen trailers for games coming out later this year "and beyond." This is basically part for the course in terms of what you can expect from any E3 briefing. As announced previously, the show starts at 9:30 AM PST on June 13 from the Galen Center in Los Angeles

Microsoft also announced that it is bringing back its "Xbox Daily" live show, during which it will interview developers and make announcements. The hour-long show will be held on June 14 and June 15, from 4-5 PM PST. It will be streamed live on Twitch and a variety of other destinations.

Lastly, Microsoft confirmed that its Xbox FanFest is also returning for 2016. Tickets provide access to Microsoft's E3 briefing, as well as meet-and-greet opportunities with developers and access to unreleased games, among other perks. Only 500 tickets will be available, and details about how you can get one will be announced at a later date.

Last month, it was reported that Microsoft may announce a new Xbox device during its E3 briefing. Before that, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said Microsoft would talk about things "beyond" Xbox One and Windows 10 in the weeks and months to come, possibly signalling an announcement during E3.
