Microsoft's Xbox division in the United Kingdom today announced that the company will publish Tecmo's survival horror title Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly in the region. The game is known as Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Director's Cut in Japan and the US.

Based on the PlayStation 2 title released earlier this year, Fatal Frame II follows the story of twin sisters trapped in an abandoned village. They must face down demonic spirits and ghouls armed with only their cameras. New modes for the Xbox release include a first-person view and a survival challenge that pits the girls against one ghoul after another in rapid succession.

No release date or pricing information has been announced for the game's UK release. The title will be released in the US on November 1.
