Microsoft to distribute Project Zero in Europe

Microsoft announces that it will publish Tecmo's survival horror game, known as Fatal Frame in North America, in Europe later this year.

Microsoft has announced that it's reached an agreement with Tecmo to distribute the upcoming Xbox version of the survival horror game Project Zero in Europe. The game, which is already available in North America, where it's known as Fatal Frame, is currently scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year.

"We're very excited about this new agreement with Tecmo," said Michel Cassius, director of Xbox platform, EMEA. "Project Zero is a great-looking and great-playing Xbox title from one of the industry's most renowned developers and we're pleased to be bringing it to Xbox gamers in Europe. It joins other hit Tecmo games distributed by Microsoft Game Studios like Dead or Alive 3 and the upcoming Dead or Alive 3 . Tecmo has been a great partner for us and this agreement is a natural step in the continual strengthening of our relationship."

In Project Zero, players assume the role of a young Japanese girl named Miku who must explore a haunted mansion in search of her brother, armed only with an antique camera that is used for both uncovering clues and harming ghosts by taking pictures of them. For more information on Project Zero, check out our Dead or Alive 3 of the North American version of the game, which was released last year.
