You would repackage with the DLC when I already paid 60 and then 10 for the first DLC, you assholes.

The message anymore is clear to gamers: Don't buy our fucking games, because just like Capcom or all of the Dead or Alive games, we're going to repackage that shit with the DLC afterwards and rip you off.

well, I guess I should've saw this coming already, still damn thing made me waste my 20$ on the DLCs

Is this limited to America or will it be made available elsewhere?

Like many said, I prefer disc version. Even though I am a PS+ member and could benefit from the price cut, I downloaded Vanquish for free but it took too damn long I am scared of downloading big games anymore D:

Speaking of Vanquish, i think there is a lot of similarity between the two games. Futuristic suits, slow-mo, non-stop action.

Still expensive for a 8h gameplay game.

Call me when it's $20... Or free, on PS+

$64 for a DIGITAL release? Their overhead ie printing, packaging, shipping & cut to retailers for resale must be really high. I'm not a sucker if I pay more for digital than physical but I am one if I don't throw you my money! Take it now *spoon airplane feeding motion* weeeeeeee! nom nom nom

Will the PC port BE the ultimate edition?

Why waste money on digital content on ps3 when you can't take your games with you on PS4? I'll continue to stick to physical copes thanks. You can shove those dlcs up yours if you think that 24 dollar game is still worth 64 bucks.

blackwingzero

If it becomes available on disc then I'll bite otherwise I'll stick with either looking for a used copy or waiting till it drops in price.

really debating if I want this. You can get a used copy of the game for 30$.

Just bought Starhawk, and still working on sleeping dogs.... soon I can probably grab a used copy of Metal gear for 20 ro 25. AND be able to sell it when I am done.

but this comes with a all the DLC. much of it pointless I am sure.

I don't understand the hate for "digital."

A digital copy is one that my brother's insane dog won't eat...

Rip-off, the game's so short it takes longer to download it. ;)

@HipHopBeats Because bundled re-releases in physical or digital form is totally new.... Oh wait its not.

@HipHopBeats If nobody bought games because everybody was waiting for a bundled re-release, there wouldn't be any bundled re-releases.

@telaros Is your PS3 console going to mysteriously vanish when the PS4 launches?

@Random_Virus Maybe move away from your brother and his stupid dog. Priorities my friend.

@Random_Virus You are buying an over-priced rental.  Did you not hear the news that next-gen consoles have no backwards compatibility.  No idea as to why people are still buying digital anything with their HD consoles at this point, you are overpaying for rental software.

kiramasaki
kiramasaki

@Random_Virus you are essentially buying a one time pass. You cant resell it. Part of the reason games can sell for 60 plus is because they either go up in value and can be resold, or at minimum drop in value but can still be sold for 10-15 bucks, unless its a sports game. That is why there is hate, I cant do anything with the digital code other than play it.

meedokicky

@RX-78MajiGundam @meedokicky while I wasn't so fond of their concept with Bayonetta, I admit, they know how to make good action games.

I am also playing Darksiders now, pretty cool too!

@Toplinkar @meatz666 That's a true gamer... :)... I'll pick this up, but probably disk so I can put in my collection. But first I must get platinum on Catherine... :P

@Lhomity @HipHopBeats So early adopters get fucked basically and there's no way around it. I want a physical disc and im not trading my game in. Maybe they just give me the rest of the DLC for free.

telaros

@Lhomity @telaros Considering how much dust it's collected...

Poor thing has been waiting on The Last Guardian for ages now Q-Q
I see your point, and it isn't like I can't just keep enjoying it. But why waste money on DLC and digital based games on ps3 if ps4 (and for that matter same can now be said for xbox360) when it won't be supported on your next console?

I don't have the biggest living space. And the stuff I for pc and my 42" monitor tend to take up a lot of my room. I have my PS3 and 360 nice and snug in their airy compartment on my desk's lower shelf with nothing blocking the back, which next to my other desk that holds my Desktop and game library and books. Below are comics and stuff I use to draw and write.

I personally also like to save money, not all of us have 2500 a month paying jobs or things that reduces our bills since you still make too much to apply.

So, in short, I suppose while it won't 'magically' disappear, I do tend to dispose of under systems to make way for newer ones like I have with ps1 to ps2, and ps2 to ps3. I still have the games from the past systems, and yes my ps3 does play them.

So, yeah, I would *like* to get rid of my ps3 and 360 to trade towards newer systems. Though, I'll likely hold onto the ps3 for another year anyways. Even if it means missing out on higher trade in value. Lots of great titles coming out this year to bother with next gen just yet, in my opinion.

Sorry for the lengthy reply. But honestly I don't believe we should be forced to keep outdated hardware when a new model that should be easily capable of emulating past gens should be more than capable. It takes up space and I hate it.

@PStrife @Random_Virus

not rental software if your still keeping your ps3, i am.

couple of months back my ps3 wasnt reading discs, and it was right after i bought MGS HD collection( disc ).

should of bought the digital version. discs can always mess up and idk....explode! lol jk

but dlcs you can always keep since its in your account, i have psp games and i dont even have a psp lol

Random_Virus
Random_Virus

@kiramasaki @Random_Virus That's certainly true, but a digital copy doesn't go bad, it doesn't get scratches, and can be downloaded again.

And if your whole defense of hard copy gaming is "I can resell it", you're justifying Microsoft's actions right now.

Dumper1
Dumper1

How is it trolling? The game is 5 hours long, it would take me far longer to download it.

Grenadeh
Grenadeh

@meedokicky @RX-78MajiGundam I don't think  you're using that word properly. MGRR was pretty much a crap game. It had minimal combat in it and was basically just a string of boss battles, which were obscenely retarded because of the games bad block mechanics. It was alright but I have no intention of ever playing it again, there are far better hack and slash games. Like God of War, Darksiders, Dante's Inferno, NG 1  - 3, for example. Maybe they'll make another one that is worth it.

meedokicky
meedokicky

@RX-78MajiGundam @meedokicky Yeah, the main character is really cool! I usually don't like super bulky characters lol

Ah I have played the demo, and planing on ordering it soon. I also loved NG S2 a lot, it was a nice workout for my arms LMAO especially those master ninja missions.

RX-78MajiGundam
RX-78MajiGundam

@meedokicky @RX-78MajiGundam i love darksiders. awesome story and gameplay. but i must say, my most favorite action game right now is ninja gaiden 3: razors edge. absolutely amazing in terms of action and difficulty.

Grenadeh
Grenadeh

@meatz666 @Grenadeh I think plat had a hand in some of the char design otherwise we wouldn't have gotten that absurdly stupid 2nd boss, and I can't believe that Konami's art direction at all involved raiden going anime-ridiculous mode at the second boss either.

Lhomity
Lhomity

@Grenadeh @Lhomity @HipHopBeats DLC costs money to develop. Why would they give it away for free? Lots of things, not just games, get re-released, and everything tends to get cheaper over time.

If you bought a box of corn flakes at regular price, are you "fucked" when it goes on sale the next week with a "Free toy" inside?

I see nothing wrong with publishers repackaging, bundling and re-releasing their games when they're not selling anymore. They don't do it to screw over anyone who already bought their game. They do it because their game isn't selling anymore, and the value of the product has diminished over time.

@Hugoboss0889 @Dumper1 Spoiled teenagers these days, measure the quality of a game by the length of its campaign (once through). I grew up playing full-priced games on 8 and 16 bit consoles that were over in 40 minutes; but they were fun and replayable.

Hugoboss0889
Hugoboss0889

@inaka_rob @Dumper1

wow wow wow, the campaign takes 5 hours, getting all the other stuff takes more,i have 40+ hours of total play time and i havent even passed all the VR missions and passed Revengeance mode lol

@Dumper1 thanks for the info. That settles it! buy a used copy. for 30. beat it in a weekend. sell it for 30. Free game. saved 45$
