Shield owners will be able to control Raiden and slice up baddies when Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance comes to the Shield on Thursday, January 7. Unfortunately, a price has not been announced.

Metal Gear isn't the only thing coming to the Shield. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be making its way to Nvidia's media streaming device at an unspecified date. It will allow users to increase the Android TV's storage with external drives and SD cards. Nvidia says it will also be enhancing the start-up process, which will decrease the number of steps it takes to get into a game.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance received a score of 8 in GameSpot's review, which said fans of the Metal Gear series and intelligent hack-and-slash games should not pass up a chance to play it.

In other Shield-related news, Nvidia bashed the Apple TV (and Crossy Roads) back in September, pointing to the Shield Android TV as a better option for gamers.

Nvidia also recently announced that it's going to try to make it easier for people to buy a VR-ready PC.
