Metal Gear Rising and Remember Me coming to EU PlayStation Plus in November

Vita owners get Oddworld Stranger's Wrath and MotorStorm RC, too.

Sony has announced that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will headline the European PlayStation Plus offerings in November.

Platinum Games' Metal Gear Solid spinoff, a stylish action game where players take the role of Raiden, will be joined by Capcom's third-person adventure Remember Me.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in February, with a PC version currently in the works. Remember Me followed in June, with the game also available on PS3, 360, and PC.

Meanwhile, Vita owners will get access to Oddworld Stranger's Wrath and MotorStorm RC.

All four games will be available on PlayStation Plus from October 23, when last month's offerings--Far Cry 3, Mafia 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Touch My Katamari--will leave the service.

Additionally, Sony says that PlayStation Plus members will be eligible for savings on Street Fighter X Tekken DLC, Worms Crazy Golf, and Alien Breed in November.

A 12-month subscription to PlayStation Plus costs £39.99/€49.99.

EU plus has more games, but US plus has more discounts. in EU, they are only 10% off.

If Remember Me ever comes to PSN+ in the US, I'll give it a download.

sweet. Both games were on my 'buy it when on sale' list, and now i don't have to buy them!

Now, imagine if Metro: Last Light came to the service....

That's it Sony. you've screwed me over for the last time. Goodbye PS Vita and goodbye PS Plus. If Sony is just going to screw us over because we're American, fine, screw them too. I would get an EU account, but I've already bout Plus for my US account and I have too many friends to migrate.

I'd be excited, but then I remembered that over here in the U.S., our PS+ updates almost never get any of the good games Euro PS+ gets.

PSN Plus is awesome.

Rising is a good game, Remember Me i didn't like, but future Paris in the game looks beautiful, but the mechanics are nothing special.  For "free", you should try it.

Only been with PS Plus for 6 months (US) and is primary reason I converted from Xbox to Playstation.   It's a great service.  But damn, seeing how EU gets such better games month after month really is ruining it for me.  I understand the publisher side of it, but if it makes me want to drop the service it must do the same for others.   Just make it the same across the board to cease these complaints.  Cut the red tape and get it done.

See this is how u do it, free recent AAA games not games from 5-7 years ago like Microsoft has beem doing for the 360.

Looks like I'm going to play these two on console after all. I was waiting right time to buy Remember Me and pc release of MGR. This is perfect other than that my new PS4 is just sitting there and I'm still playing PS3 games, but I don't mind getting "free" stuff.

Don't worry guys, here in North America we'll probably be getting flOw, Far Cry 2, LEGO Harry Potter, and Hot Shots Golf

That should even it out!..................................

lucky europeans! didn't they also get okami hd not too long ago? perhaps ps+ isn't doing as well over there so sony is trying to make the service more enticing to that market.

Ah yes, MGRR, the game that made me break my first PS3 controller within weeks of owning a PS3 because of it's BROKEN and inconsistent at best block mechanic, not to mention absurdly inconsistent difficulty leaps between enemies and bosses.

@DIGN Um, we in the EU side also feel jealous sometimes (only sometimes) of the US offering, but you get cheaper prices for all games and more discounts, we pay around 10% more on everything, even the PS+ subscription is 65 dollars instead of the 50$.

all I am saying is that you will be affected by these extra dollars if you migrate.

@DIGNSony does NOT choose the free games. You have to blame the publishers. You want batman arkham city? E-mail Rocksteady with a complaint. You want Far Cry 3? E-mail Ubisoft with a complaint. You want Metal Gear Rising? E-mail Konami with a complaint.

@DIGN Not being funny mate, but have a think about all the content that America has that the UK doesnt. Earlier game releases, content that doesnt even make it over here. Not to mention the lower cost you pay for almost everything out there. Two games aint worth moaning about.

Lhomity

@DIGN  How exactly are they "screwing you over"? By providing different content in the US? I hope they provide a box of tissues for you next month. ;<

@Diegoctba I'm not one who wants to play a bad game for free. I would feel like I'm wasting my time.

@Daian

As some have already pointed out, the main issue here is third party / publisher and licensing distribution. MS aren't taking the risk. The reason why they are sticking 5-7 year games up, is most likely that the distribution / licensing agreement has expired, hence why they can keep the game for as long as they want. And no it isn't free when you only have access to the games, so long as you keep up the subscription - most likely that's part of the agreement between Sony and publishers.

@HowlPendragon  Payback for PAL territories never getting Chrono Cross, Brave Fencer Musashi, Final Fantasy Tactics, having an extremely limited run of games like Legend of Dragoon which meant they were rare and some Australian retailers were asking $200 for. And payback for us getting a lot of PS1, PS2 titles 6-12 months later (if at all), and more recently, not getting CS:GO because, god knows why, Valve won't say.

@Xristophoros Europeans have always gotten the better games IMO.  Then again on the bright side we did get Kingdoms of Amalur in the US this month which wasn't a bad choice.  Though then again reading now that Europeans got Dragon's Dogma makes me think Europeans still got the better deal even though I already own that game.

@tightwad34 @GameYakuza dragon's dogma dark arisen was in plus last month, and I think it is an underrated gem. The lighting makes it look like a work of art, the combat is super dynamic, and exploration is fun.

@Lhomity @DIGN I pay good money for a service and expect a good service in return. EU gets AAA games that came out within the past year and better sales. While on the US store we get an indie, a PS2 game, and a game most people wouldn't have even wanted to get in the first place. You can't compare the EU and US Plus and say that we get equal value, you literally can't. If you compared the prices for the EU free games with the US free games you'd see that EU comes out on top.

All I ask is that we get the same, similar, or games of equal value. Is that too much to ask?

Gamer_4_Fun
Gamer_4_Fun

@DIGN @Lhomity According to the current exchange rate, 40 pound is 64$ USD. Which is 14$ more so I guess there is a reason for such disparity, but I do agree that EU PSN + gives way more bang for bucks.

~Assasins Creed 3

~Far Cry 3

~Mafia II

~God Of War HD

~Mortal Kombat

Here is the list NA got that EU didnt

Lhomity

@DIGN @LhomityI don't disagree with you. Particularly on the 'equal value' point. But I disagree that they're screwing you over. You know the old "grass is greener" saying, right?

If you would prefer access to PS Plus in EU, AU, UK, create a new account, buy an EU, AU, or UK voucher on PSN and join in (you can play them on your regular account too). Plenty of people in the EU also sub to the US to take advantage of offers in both regions, and vice versa.

Both the US and EU having the same content is not as easy as it sounds, as it relies on agreements with third parties, many with their own distribution and licensing practices. Even if people like and I might think that's silly.

I'm looking at the US Instant Game Collection right now, and I'm seeing:
Shadow of the Colossus HD
Ico HD
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Saints Row: The Third
Uncharted 3
LittleBigPlanet Karting
XCOM Enemy Unknown
Jet Set Radio
Galaga Legions DX
Runner 2
Star Wars Pinball
Machinarium
Munch's Odyssey HD

...and that's just the PS3 titles. Plenty of great stuff there.
