Meta Knight Amiibo Exclusive to Best Buy

Toy launching in early 2015 exclusively at Best Buy.

When the Meta Knight Amiibo is released in early 2015, the only way you'll be able to buy it is through Best Buy, the retailer has confirmed on its website.

This is the second retailer-exclusive Amiibo toy, as GameStop will be the only store to offer Shulk, the main character from the Xenoblades franchise.

The first wave of $13 Amiibo toys are available starting today in the United States, alongside fighting game Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, which is available now and is the first game to support the toys.

The initial run of Amiibo toys include Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikachu, Kirby, and Marth. More are coming in December 2014 and in 2015.

Actually, would it be better to say "first game at launch to support the toys"? Both Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart support them. MK got the patch to support them a week before their release so on a technicality that would be the first game to support them.

Some people will probably be selling them on Amazon, so I'm not worried. I do think store exclusives are garbage though. I really hope it does not happen with Ness.

I will be waiting to pre-order Meta-Knight when it is available.

Glad I'm not buying into this amiibo business. I learned my lesson from the Pokemon cards many years ago.

@davillain- At least you could play a game with a deck of Pokemon cards. What do these things even do?
