Men in Black: Alien Crisis hits May 22

Activision's film tie-in launching ahead of Men in Black 3 next month for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii; portable versions MIA.

The Men in Black are back this May. Activision announced today that Men in Black: Alien Crisis will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii on May 22, ahead of Men in Black 3's theatrical debut on May 25.

The Men in Black return this May.

In Men in Black: Alien Crisis, players become Peter Delacoeur, an MIB agent in training tasked with rooting out enemy aliens plotting the destruction of Earth. The game sports a two-player split-screen option, as well as a four-player "hot seat" mode.

Men in Black: Alien Crisis is compatible with the Xbox 360 and PS3 Top Shot Elite light guns, and the PS3 and Wii versions work with shell accessories like the Sharp Shooter and Wii Zapper.

Portable versions of Men in Black: Alien Crisis were announced in October, but Activision made no mention of them today. As of press time, the publisher had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.

MIB game... FPS... not surprised... Can Activision make any non-FPS game? 5$ I say it's a flop

@aeromike10 : don't forget pretty much every Lord of the Rings movie game.

I liked the old Aladdin movie tie in game (not the snes capcom one, the genesis version). And I quite liked "Battle For Middle Earth", though that's not really a "tie in", more like a "based on the trilogy". I'm probably being cynical, but the fact that you're playing an "unknown/new" character, and the support for gun peripherals (to me sounds a little gimmicky), has got me very skeptical...and makes me wonder how this actually ties in to the movie as opposed to a game that just sports the MIB name and maybe a couple of references or name drops as youre playing...

@ Mark07041971 Theres been a few good movie tie-in games. Spiderman 2, Ghostbusters, Toy Story 3, Bourne Conspiracy, King Kong, Goldeneye

It might be like the new ghost busters game, which really wasn't that bad. In fact the game will probably be better then Ghost busters 3, whenever that sees the light of day. So I have hopes that a good MIB game could be made. However, I am fully prepared for that dream to be crushed.

Activision, ill give you a hint...make "achievements" or "trophies" babyeasy to get and you will eventually sell few of them to die hard achievement/trophy hunters(Terminator Salvation anyone lol?).

Has there ever been a good "movie tie-in" game? Color me jaded, but I think I'll pass on this unabashed cash grab.

@moviequest14 I doubt this will be any good I have more faith in the Amazing Spiderman game Activision has coming Activision is usually pretty good with Spiderman so long as it's open world.

I'm hoping it's a good game, but I'm preparing for it to be a piece of crap with shallow online that you have to pay monthly for. i.e. A game that I won't even bother renting.

Activision has made good licensed movie titles before (ie. Spiderman 2) so it isn't entirely out of question this might be worth while.I'm *VERY* cautiously optimistic.
