Update 15 includes four additional trial mechs and color customization for Hero mechs.

MechWarrior Online will be bringing a new death machine into the fold in its latest update.

You know what they say about misery and company.

Update 15 introduces the "Misery" STK-M mech, an 85-ton machine that comes equipped with medium and large lasers, a gauss rifle, and an SRM-6 missile launcher. The update also introduces four new trial mechs: a Jenner JR7-F, a Hunchback HBK-4G, a JagerMech JM6-S, and a Highlander HGN-732.

Other additions of the patch include a new Buccaneer premium skin, three new cockpit items, and improvements when calling down airstrikes. Players can also change the colors of their Hero mechs.

The update is live now. For more information, check out the official forum post.

i tried the alpha, i tried the beta, and i tried the release, and not a single thing changed in the course of that time to make the game any more user friendly, i suppose its about time to give it another try and hope that it is still not totally underwhelming.

It is a shame that it is an MMO. I wanted a single player MechWarrior game

I love this game, a shame it didn't release at full price with MW2 style campaign and a polished multiplayer.

Misery is a nice mech... to kill with my LRM support Atlas :)

@blackothhMechwarrior Online has not released yet.  It's in open beta currently.  Very cool that you got to play a alpha build, as far as I know most of the first players got in during closed beta.  As for how much has changed, it would be safe to say much has changed.  Engine cap keeps the mechs more in line with cannon speeds.  Different mechs add new battlefield dynamics, such as the new Highlander.  Players can hit targets now, even with high ping, due to the new netcode improvements.  Weapon balance is a ongoing issue, but it's better than it used to be.  I am sure some disagree, but remember most weapons have had their OP spotlight during testing.  Repair and rearm cost are gone, players can run their favorite mech all the time.  Anyone of these changes are huge gameplay changers.  I am surprised that someone with that much experience playing MWO would not notice at least one of these changes.

It's a F2P MMO and these are normally successful in today's market.  I am sure most would agree that Battletech needs a successful game to make a comeback.  No, it's not P2W, players have to earn their skill.

@Simplythebest12 Same.  I wanted something more like MW4 with a strong singleplayer component in addition to multiplayer.

@Simplythebest12 It's not even remotely an MMO, its an 8 vs. 8 FPS.

@Simplythebest12 Why would you prefer to play a mech simulation game against AI bots instead of real people?

@Steel_Hawk_99 They wanted to, but publishers these days wont bet on something that isn't Call of Halo 5. At least what we do have is headed to be pretty great.

@jon2435 open beta on a free to play online game is just about the same as a release, people can still use the cash shop and the founders program benefits turned on. and i think i remember them saying that they were not resetting things anymore. but im more then willing to try again, im a huge mech fan, but im sorry the game was so broken, and improvements were not happening, it took months alone for the mech lab to be properly functional.

@jon2435 I got into this game about 7-8 months ago, I had a great time.

I thought I was going to be in it for the long haul as the gameplay was a lot of fun to me and the community was strong and enthusiastic.

It just turned out to not be my bag, I really hope it does well though and those changes sound great... especially the repair/rearm cost removal.

@brunorr @Simplythebest12 Missions with actual objects other then killing enemy mechs. Managing my own squad of AI and their mechs sounds way more cool actually.
