MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries goes gold

Microsoft has today announced that FASA Studio's MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries is complete and will ship to stores on November 8. Unlike MechWarrior 4: Black Knight--an expansion pack released last year--Mercenaries is a stand-alone game that doesn't require a retail version of the original MechWarrior 4: Vengeance to play.

Following the rise to power of a newly formed Mercenary MechWarrior Company, players affiliate with one of four different mercenary groups.
