MDK sequel for the PlayStation 2

Bioware and Digital Mayhem, the action division of Interplay, announced today the third installment in the popular MDK series for the PlayStation 2. Titled MDK Armageddon, the game will expand on the intrigue-filled, action style of the originals. According to Bioware, it will feature more weapons, levels, items, and enhanced visuals.

"We're very excited to be able to bring this to the PlayStation 2," said BioWare Joint CEO, Greg Zeschuk. "It's exactly what the doctor ordered. No pun intended."

No solid gameplay details were released, other than the fact that the game will consist of ten levels and will feature a customizable difficulty setting. The title is tentatively scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 this winter.
