Atari Games informed GameSpot News the secret to entering 11 secret rooms in its arcade shooting game Maximum Force (due on the Saturn and PlayStation this fall).

At least three rooms will figure in the answers to questions posed in the company's "Maximum Cool" contest. The contest will award players US$12,000 in prizes, including the chance to become a character in the upcoming sequel to Area 51.

Players enter the contest by answering questions about eight of the Maximum Force secret rooms. More details will follow soon.

E3 - Pool Party (also known as the Pool Babe Room). Found in Mission 1. To get in, shoot all the stuff you can underwater in the decompression chamber after you ride the hydro-sled through the minefield. There are eight items in all - all vents, lights, hatches, and so on. This room only appears in the game once.

E4 - Pain in the Glass. Found in Mission 1.Shoot all four oxygen tanks on the Easter Island beach after coming out of the elevator. This room is easy with a shotgun - make sure you have one going in for maximum bonus.

E9 - Bachelor Pad #2 (also known as the Roach Room). Found in Mission 1.Shoot all 11 yellow tractor lamps in the underground bunker. This is a very tricky room to get into consistently, since the tractors appear in so many scenes it's hard to remember to shoot them all.

E12 - Bone Daddy (also known as the Bone Room). Found in Mission 2.Shoot the six windows as the camera pans up the outside of the building after the gazebo. This is easier with the shotgun, especially as the camera zooms toward the gazebo. After getting into the Bone Room, go into "Bone Mode," where all the terrorists along the rooftop turn into skeletons. This room appears only once in the game.

Secret Room E16 - Chicken Fry #2 (also known as the Chicken Room). Found in Mission 2.This room has flying chickens ready for the fryer. Shoot all 10 elevator buttons.

Secret Room E19 - Head Room #2. Found in Mission 2.This is a very tricky room - shoot the lurker who is seen only briefly as he looks out from behind the AC unit on the bank's rooftop. This goofy room is where the Atari team's heads fall and are worth 100 points each - a very large bonus.

Secret Room E20 - Rotor Rotor. Found in Mission 2.Shoot the nine vents on the rooftop of the bank building. Some are a little hard to hit since there is so much going on, but you can definitely do it. Brother of the Lollibot room, this one has a robot with targets behind its doors.

Secret Room E21 - Bachelor Pad #3 (also known as the Roach Room). Found in Mission 3.Shoot cockroaches! Shoot the six papers attached to the bulletin board in the Jungle.

Secret Room E23 - Carnival #3. Found in Mission 3. Nail all 11 stacked tires just before the plane crash. This gets into a fast-paced midway-style shooting wave that is worth up to 4,000 points. Tip: You don't have to reload - just keep blasting away.

Secret Room E24 - Lollibot #2. Found in Mission 3.Blow away both smiley-faced foglight covers on the crashing jeep just before the spectacular plane crash. Shoot the targets on the robots for bonus points.

Secret Room E27 - Rotor Room #2. Found in Mission 3. Shoot all the moving boxes on the conveyors - eight in all - in the laboratory. The boxes are spread out over more than one scene, so it will be a little tricky to get in. Remember to shoot everything in the wave. Rotor Rotor is the brother of Lollibot - a robot with targets.

Secret Room E28 - Carnival #4 (also known as Duck Room). Found in Mission 3. One of the coolest rooms is back by popular demand. Get in by shooting the two headlights of the moving truck that comes out at you from the garage.

Secret Room E29 - Card Room. Found in Mission 3. Shoot the 15 blue barrels in the laboratory segment. The cards are Mesa Logic team members who developed the game. To score points in Card Room, you must match the pictures by shooting two similar ones in a row. This room only appears once in the game.
