Max Payne's Console Hopes Look Dim

Take-Two Interactive dispells console rumors.

Comments

Despite several online reports, GameSpot has officially confirmed that Max Payne, the third- person action game, will not be released for the Dreamcast or the PlayStation 2. Jeff Castenada of Take-Two Interactive vehemently denied the rumors in a conversation with GameSpot News this afternoon.

"Max Payne is not on any console release schedule at the moment," he said. He added that GOD Games, the title's developers, have directly told Take-Two that it will in no way develop console versions of the game. The development company is, however, creating games such as Kiss Psycho Circus and 4x4 Evolution for console platforms.
