Matrix Online combat gets overhauled
Sony Online Entertainment releases Combat Revision 2.0 for its massively multiplayer online movie tie-in.
A little over a year ago, developer Monolith's PC massively multiplayer online game The Matrix Online first went live. Today, Sony Online Entertainment has announced the release of the first "major enhancement" to the game, Combat Revision 2.0. Some specific changes in the combat engine include a new user interface and a general increase in speed of rounds, with shorter animations and fewer pauses in the action. There's also a handful of new combat styles, revised weapon classes, and a rebalancing that makes it possible for opponents to deal damage to each other in a given round.
