As part of its ongoing coverage of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Game Informer today posted a series of new screenshots from the upcoming spacefaring RPG.

Andromeda runs on EA's proprietary Frostbite engine--and as you can tell from the screenshots, it's being put to good use. Go to Game Informer to see all the new images, which show off things like a new vehicle called the Nomad, a planet called Elaaden, a flame-throwing ability, and the game's new scanning feature, among other things.

In addition to a new trailer and a separate video that revealed some key story details, we've also learned about Andromeda's deluxe edition and the fact that loyalty missions are coming back. BioWare has also confirmed that a multiplayer beta will be held before launch.

Andromeda is scheduled to launch this spring for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While not confirmed, multiple retail listings have suggested a March 21 release date.

BioWare has also said that Andromeda's frame rate for PS4 Pro has yet to be decided, while one of the game's protagonists will get his own action figure.

More Andromeda gameplay footage will be shown during The Game Awards in early December.
