With the likes of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher and a second season of Jessica Jones due over the next couple of years, it was unclear if the very first Marvel Netflix show would be back for a third season. Marvel has now confirmed on Twitter that Daredevil will return to the streaming service:

Although Daredevil has proved extremely popular, Netflix's increasingly busy Marvel schedule hadn't included a third outing for the blind superhero until now. As recently as last month, star Charlie Cox stated that he was unsure of the show's future. "We don't know if there's going to be a season three," he told the Independent. "I certainly don't know."

The news was also announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, where Netlix and Marvel have been showcasing several of their upcoming shows. The full trailer for the upcoming Luke Cage was revealed, alongside a teaser for Iron Fist and a brief look for The Defenders, which will see Daredevil, Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones team up.
