Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is poised to arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 15, and Capcom has already begun expounding the game's downloadable content. The first bit, due in March, sees the introduction of Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath, two characters who can alternatively be picked up as part of the game's $70 collector's edition. However, gamers won't just be offered new characters postrelease.
Today, Capcom announced that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will receive a second type of downloadable content in the form of Shadow Mode. Called "a series of downloadable packs," the DLC will offer gamers the chance to compete against three uniquely built teams.
The first pack, which is expected in March, will feature the team and AI personality for MVC3's producer, Ryota Niitsuma, as well as loadouts for assistant producer Akihito Kadowaki and a QA team lead. Capcom said to expect more packs to follow shortly, some of which will feature "personalities you already know."
