Marv Albert Gets Nibble

The voice of Quarterback Club '98 may land on his feet at all-sports radio station WFAN.

"I think people deserve a second chance," radio station WFAN's general manager, Joel Hollander, reportedly said, defending his recent negotiations with the current voice of NFL Quarterback Club '98 and former caller of hoop games for NBC Marv Albert.

"If he goes through a rehabilitation process, and is deemed all right by therapists and doctors, he deserves another chance. How many chances do athletes get?" Hollander reportedly said.

Albert was fired by NBC after pleading guilty to assault and battery charges last month. That event had NFL QBC '98 publisher Acclaim scrambling to come up with a decision whether or not to pull its upcoming video game product from manufacturing. It eventually decided to go with Albert's voice-over on the title.

In unrelated news, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that a West Virginia judge was accused of biting the nose of a defendant who cursed at him during a June hearing. Thursday, federal civil rights charges were brought against the judge.

Have a great weekend.
