Following months of delays and controversy, Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure has finally gone gold. Rated M for Mature, it is set for release on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. All three versions of the game will retail for $49.99 when it hits store shelves February 14.

Developed by The Collective (Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith) and published by Atari (Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach), Getting Up profiles Trane, a graffiti writer with dreams of becoming an "All City King," the most venerated and famous of all graffiti artists. However, in the course of his nocturnal artistic adventures, Trane will come across rival graffiti crews, a corrupt mayor, and law enforcement bent on keeping his palette dry.

The game's star power, which includes voice acting from Talib Kweli, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Rosario Dawson, and Charlie Murphy, has been overshadowed by its controversial content. New York politicians, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, publicly blasted the game, saying it promoted the defacing of public property.
