Global Star Software has today announced that it will release Mall Tycoon 2 for the PC this fall. The game, which is currently in development at Fusion Digital, is the sequel to Mall Tycoon, which, to date, has sold more than 300,000 copies since its release in February 2002.

Mall Tycoon 2 will challenge players to establish and maintain their own shopping mall--requiring them to concern themselves with everything from initial construction and store placement to human resources and payroll. More than 60 different shop types and around 70 unique commodities will feature in the game, and a new 3D engine that employs Criterion's Renderware technology will allow players to explore their mall in a first-person view.

Mall Tycoon 2 is currently scheduled for release in North America this fall. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
