Yet another game has announced plans for a Valentine's Day-themed event. On Friday, publisher Jagex invited fans to "Make Love, And War" in its PC shooter Block N Load.

This weekend only, Block N Load players can duke it out on a new, 8-bit inspired Valentine's Day map called Love Hurts. In addition, Jagex has launched a ranked mode for the game, which is open to anyone with a level-20 hero and has completed 10 matches.

“Naturally, there's a lot of love in the team for Block N Load, so we wanted to share some of that with our fantastic band of beta players," Block N Load developer David Solari said.

“We’re also looking forward to seeing relationships tested to breaking point as teams face off in the new Love Hurts arena,” he added. “We think we’re onto a win-win situation visually. If you like your Valentine’s a bit saccharine, then all well and good. If not… well, you can always go for some explosive remodelling!"

Block N Load isn't the only game celebrating Valentine's Day. See the stories below for what other developers are doing to mark the lovey-dovey day.
