Electronic Arts has announced the release of the boxed version of its unusual online conspiracy adventure game, Majestic. The game was originally available only through EA.com, Electronic Arts' online game service, but due in part to lower than expected sales, the company decided to release the game in a traditional retail boxed version, which includes the first five episodes of the game.

Majestic uses an unusual interactive system that advances the game's story by contacting players through e-mail, telephone, fax, instant messaging, and other forms of communication. The game's first season will include five episodes. Electronic Arts is considering running a second season of the game in 2002.

Majestic is now available in stores for a suggested retail price of $39.99. For more information, take a look at our full review of the game.
