Madden 16 Celebrates Tom Brady Suspension Dismissal

"Week 1 just got a little more Terrific... "

The news today about the nullification of Tom Brady's four-game suspension has expectedly extended to the world of EA Sports' Madden franchise. Following the announcement today, the Madden Twitter account posted the tweet you see below, which says "Week 1 Steelers vs. Patriots just got a little more Terrific..."

That's obviously a reference to Tom Brady's "Tom Terrific" nickname. The Steelers and Patriots kick off the new NFL season one week from tonight, on September 10, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The NFL may appeal the decision, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says the league is not likely to seek an injunction that would stop Brady for competing while a potential appeal is underway.

In GameSpot's 8/10 Madden NFL 16 review, critic Miguel Concepcion wrote:

"There's a good deal of thoughtfulness in Madden NFL 16. Devoid of any throwaway modes or game types that rely on nostalgia, Madden NFL 16 is both sensible and forward thinking. Its developers could have made a bigger deal about Super Bowl 50 or relied more heavily on the appeal of Hall of Fame players (who are available in Ultimate Team). Instead, EA Tiburon has focused more on fans' diverse play tastes as well as making this one of the most welcoming Madden games in recent memory."

If you've tuned into ESPN in the past week, you've probably seen a clip from this totally bonkers Madden NFL 16 commercial. For more on the game, check out some funny bugs through the links below.
