Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are joining Disney's mobile game Star Wars: Commander this week, the company has announced.

This will be the first time force and light saber wielding Heroes will join Star Wars: Commander. They'll also change up gameplay, as they're the first Hero units armed with special abilities that players can activate.

Skywalker and Vader will be added as rewards as part of an upcoming, time-limited campaign that kicks off on Thursday, December 11. The campaign will introduce the biggest update to the game since it launched in August.

Star Wars: Commander is a free-to-play combat strategy game for iOS and Android devices similar to Supercell's hugely successful Clash of Clans. For more on Star Wars: Commander, check out our interview with the developers.
