Luigi confirmed for new Super Smash Bros.
Luigi joins his elder brother in the next Super Smash Bros. game for Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo has revealed its latest addition to the roster of characters for upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS: Luigi.
New screenshots from the game on Nintendo's official site show Luigi in a range of awkward poses typical for Mario's anxious younger brother.
Luigi has featured as an unlockable character in all three previous Smash Bros. titles, including the series' last outing Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
A fan petition is also asking Nintendo to include executive Reggie Fils-Aime as a playable character in the game.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS are expected to launch in 2014. There will be no cross-platform play between the two.
Luigi joins previously announced characters Pikmin & Olimar, Villager, Mario, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, and Pit.
