Swedish developer Lockpick Entertainment has announced a new massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game titled Dreamlords. The game is currently scheduled for release sometime next year.

In the game, players assume the role of demigods, aptly called Dreamlords. Each Dreamlord is in charge of a separate world, called a patria. Dreamlords will be able to pitch their armies against others in player-versus-player battles. While managing their patrias in solo play, players will have to deal with game-generated events that, if resolved, add bonuses to their partrias and armies.

In addition to the announcement, Lockpick has launched a community Web site that includes loads of game information, the game's back story, screenshots, and a trailer. Interested players can also register for the upcoming beta test of the game.
