Lock On takes off for factory
Ubisoft's PC flight simulator finally goes gold, due in stores November 18.
After being pushed back several months earlier this year, Lock On: Modern Air Combat has finally taken off to production. The Ubisoft-published, Eagle Dynamics-developed flight simulation was originally due in stores last year, but had been delayed repeatedly due to development issues.
One of the titles being released under Ubisoft's new Strategy Simulations sub-brand, Lock On lets gamers climb into the cockpit of eight recent-vintage fighter jets. Five are Russian (Su-27 Flanker B, Su-25, Su-33 Flanker D, MiG-29 Fulcrum C, and MiG-29 Fulcrum) two are American (A-10A Thunderbolt II and F-15C Eagle), and one is a German-modified Russian (MiG-29 Fulcrum A). The game will also feature 20 single-player and 10 multiplayer missions.
Lock On: Modern Air Combat is PC-only, rated 'E' for everyone, and retails for $39.99.
