Little Big Planet Karting arrives Nov. 6

United Front Games' PlayStation 3 arcade racing title with PS Move and 3D support gets fall release date.

Little Big Planet Karting will zip to retail on November 6, publisher Sony announced today through the PlayStation Blog. The game was previously expected to arrive sometime later this year.

Sackboy hits the track this November.

Developed by ModNation Racers studio United Front Games with series creator Media Molecule in a supporting role, the game boasts 3D and PlayStation Move support.

In Little Big Planet Karting, players will take part in competitive and cooperative kart racing across a range of modes. On top of straightforward kart races, gamers can participate in objective-based missions, boss battles, and minigames.

Much like in ModNation Racers, in Little Big Planet Karting, players can customize their Sackboy characters, karts, and more. The title also sports a level editor that allows players to build courses and decide their own racing rules. Gamers can share their creations with users across the world through the PlayStation Network.

As I posted on the other teaser video. This game is a little dumbed down compared to Mod Nation Racers. That isn't in the sense of the actual gameplay. But the create-a-kart/toon. Since they copied the whole Little big planet create-a-sackboy/girl which is just pick the body, then pick each addon (glasses, hair etc). Which makes the whole creating a racer and kart not as fun and exciting as Mod nation racer. I liked MNR because of how you could make the most random toon or karts. Like seeing the Scooby Doo mystery van, or spider man etc. It's a shame this feature doesn't look to be in LBP Karting beta.

Look forward to it.

That video does remind me of Diddy Kong Racing since there was that one egg stage.

They will have gold if they tackle the load times for LBP Kart.

I have the beta. I have to say the action is already decent, if the community is truly allowed to tear into this thing, it could be epic.

Short of that, it's less than a Mario Kart clone.

did any of you guys here even beta test it? i have the beta and it's actually a pretty good game, yea it's like mario kart but i effin love mario kart lol this is a good karting game though and I think people should at least give it a try instead of instantly think its a mario kart clone just judging from videos. cuz it does play a little different

Doesn't matter what LBP game they bring out, there will always be more Nintendo type levels than Sony levels. People need to give Nintedo more Props instead of Bashing them, Just saying...............

They'll really need to pull out all the stops if they hope to make this game something special, given that ModNation Racers already did the whole create/customize your racer, kart and tracks concept.  It'll need an even greater depth of customization, racing options, and improved performance - specifically, those horrendous load times seriously need to go.  If it's just ModNation Racers but with Sackboy...yeah, I don't see a lot of people rushing out to buy it for $60 when you can get ModNation Racers for $20 or less.

Biggest selling points for me would be: minimal (10 seconds or less) loading times and LAN support.  Especially LAN support.  I know these games are all about the online community, but some of us don't give a damn about sharing/playing with people online but still want to race with our friends without having to play on only a half or, worse, quarter of a screen.  The lack of system link/LAN support in games - especially on PS3 where online is free anyway so it's not like Sony would be losing money, and especially when it comes to games that all but scream 'party game' - is unforgivable.

Can't say what the finished product will be like but the video on this page makes it look tedious and boring as Hell.

Let us see whether it is better than ModNation Racers, but it is interesting that the game will be released with other high-profile games.

Reminds me of Mario Kart & Diddy Kong Racing, thats actually a good thing. Lets hope MM makes trophies more fun less tacky, like LBP2  the 24 hr creative room trophy. :(

If it is an improved version of ModNation Racers with Sackboy how can it fail??

Looking forward to it myself :)

LittleBigPlanet awesomeness mixed with Diddy Kong Racing style of karting; it sounds pretty good.

This is pretty much ModNation Racers 2 with a Sackboy figurehead, as the article says it's even made by the same team. Nothing wrong with a sequel to a good game.
