Ahead of the game's release in November, BioWare has now published the title theme song for role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition. The track, which you can listen to above through Soundcloud, sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings. It gets particularly epic around 1:37.

In a blog post on publisher Electronic Arts' website, audio director Michael Kent explains that BioWare decided early on in Inquisition's development that it wanted to "redefine" the audio for the entire Dragon Age series with the new game.

"We decided that we wanted the game to sound very dynamic, where the audio was always moving and changing, lots of highs and lows, loud and quiet moments," he said.

"Audio is 50 percent of the experience when playing a video game," he added. "Audio provides emotion, and also helps tell the story. Audio is what immerses the player in the game."

You can read the full interview with Kent on EA's website.

Inquisition launches November 18 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. BioWare recently confirmed that the game will run at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One. Inquisition was originally targeted to launch a full year ago, but has since been delayed twice.

November 18 is shaping up to be a busy day for high-profile new releases, as the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V and WWE 2K15 are due to launch on that day, alongside Far Cry 4, Escape Dead Island, LittleBigPlanet 3, and Watch Dogs for Wii U.
