Links champion announced

Paul Willey of Bangor, Maine, wins the $50,000 grand prize in Microsoft's Links Virtual Golf Association Tour Finals.

Earlier today, Paul Willey of Bangor, Maine, defeated Bill Crouch of Thorntown, Ind., in the final round of Microsoft's Links Virtual Golf Association (VGA) Tour, which took place in the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla. Willey was awarded the title of "World's Best PC Golfer" and received the $50,000 grand prize. Ladies Professional Golf Association star Annika Sorenstam presented the prize.

More than 22,000 PC golfers from 10 different countries participated in this year's VGA Tour. To learn more about the tournament, visit the official VGA Tour Web site. Highlights from the tournament, including the winning putt, will be posted on November 27 on the official Links Web site.
