Microsoft announced today that Links 2001 has gone gold. Links 2001 is a significant upgrade in the decade-old golf game series, and computer golf fans can expect this product to be available starting the week of October 30. Links 2001 features an entirely new rendering engine that promises to deliver even better ball physics and graphics, as well as the Arnold Palmer Course Designer, which allows PC golfers to create their own courses with the same tools used by the Links 2001 team. In addition, Links 2001 offers new tour players - including Sergio Garcia, Arnold Palmer, and Annika Sorenstam - and new animations for exising players.
