Acclaim's PlayStation 2 wrestling game featuring more than 40 of the greatest wrestlers of all time is shipped to retailers nationwide.

Acclaim Entertainment has announced the shipment of Legends of Wrestling for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game has all the trappings of a classic wrestling telecast, including signature ring entrances, commentary by Lou Albano and Jimmy Hart, and a variety of matches to choose from.

"Wrestling is one of the biggest categories in the video game industry, and we're thrilled to launch such a powerhouse title, which offers next-generation technology, innovative gameplay, and the most comprehensive lineup of wrestling legends ever assembled in a video game," said Steve Felsen, senior brand director at Acclaim Entertainment. "This is a must-have title for wrestling fans of all ages, because it transcends generations and federations to deliver the best gaming experience ever brought to the squared circle."

Legends of Wrestling was developed by Acclaim's internal Salt Lake City studio.
