With Suicide Squad's release now just a few more weeks away, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer that spotlight's Will Smith's character, Deadshot.

The video opens with Deadshot (real name Floyd Lawton) in his prison cell, being given food that's mixed with toenails. Deadshot remarks to the guard, "One day, I'm going to get out of here, and I'm going to rain down on you." Take a look:

The video also provides brief glimpses of Suicide Squad's other main characters, including Harley Quinn and Joker, while Batman's Batmobile also makes an appearance.

This is the latest in a wealth of publicity that has been released over the past month, including eye-catching posters, trailers, TV spots, and bizarre, sports-related promos.

Suicide Squad is directed by Fury's David Ayer, and tells the story of a group of death row supervillains who are employed covertly by the US government to perform dangerous missions, in return for reduced prison sentences. It also stars Jared Leto as Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, while Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Jay Hernandez co-star. Ben Affleck will make a cameo appearance as Batman.

According to a recent report, Suicide Squad--which arrives on August 5--could pull in as much as $140 in the US for its opening, which would set a new August record. It could also become the biggest opening for a Will Smith movie. His current best-performer is 2007's I Am Legend, which pulled in $77.2 million in the US for its debut weekend.
