Palestar has today announced a two-week free trial period for its massively multiplayer online space simulation game DarkSpace. The free trial period starts today and will run until September 26, during which time all DarkSpace account holders will be able to play without limitations and with the ability to gain prestige and rank and to join all available servers.

"We are opening up the game to everyone for the next two weeks in order to give those who have never tried the game before an opportunity to find out more about DarkSpace," said Richard Lyle, Palestar's president and lead programmer.

The DarkSpace client can be downloaded for free from the game's official Web site. For more information on DarkSpace, which originally launched back in December 2001, check out our previous coverage of the game.
