Dutch publisher Project Three Interactive has today announced that it has acquired the European publishing rights to Kult. Formerly known as Cult, the isometric role-playing game is currently in development at Slovakia-based 3D People and is currently scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2004.

Set in the fantasy world of Rywennia, Kult will feature more than 50 different environments in which players will be challenged to complete 40 epic quests and to do combat with more than 30 types of monster. As they progress through the game, players will gain access to more than 100 unique weapons, 50 spells, and 25 skills.

"We are very eager to present this promising title and are sure Kult will appeal to the many fantasy fans and RPG players out there," said Erik Schreuder of Project Three. "To be honest, I can't wait to see it finished. The game is expected to enter beta/gold by March 2004."

"We are extremely pleased to get a committed and aggressive publisher like Project Three behind our game and wish the future players as much enjoyment playing Kult as we are having while developing it," added Peter Nagy, team leader at 3D People.

The "European" publishing rights announced today include Australia, New Zealand, and Israel in addition to European territories, but they do not include Russia and former USSR states.
