Konami to bring ZOE GBA to North America
The Game Boy Advance version of Zone of the Enders will be released in North America. We have new information on and screenshots from the game.
Konami has announced that it will release its Game Boy Advance game Zone of the Enders 2173: Testament in North America. The game will be available in that territory in Q1 2002. The action-strategy game is based in the Zone of the Enders universe set forth by the PlayStation 2 game--it picks up where the PS2 game left off. During the game's 2D turn-based battles, players will have control of a variety of vehicles, including trucks, tanks, fighters, and giant anime-style robots called LEVs. In between battles, units can be upgraded and customized. In the game, players assume the role of Cage, a young boy who accidentally finds himself piloting an LEV. From this point forth, Cage and his friends in the Martian underground resistance must fight the military in order to survive.
The development of Zone of the Enders 2173: Testament is being overseen by Noriaki Okamura, who produced ZOE for the PlayStation 2.
