Developer Phantagram today announced that its Xbox action strategy game Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes has gone gold and is ready for a worldwide release.

Set five years before 2004's sleeper Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, Heroes features an all-new campaign mode with seven new protagonists and 50 medieval missions. New moves, new units, and new environments have been added, as well as expanded support for Xbox Live. Now up to six knights-in-training can compete in various modes, such as troop battle and hero battle, and those willing to unite the kingdom can play cooperative missions that differ from those in the single-player campaign.

Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes is rated M for Mature and will retail for $39.99 when it is released in late September. For more on this game, check out GameSpot's feature preview.
