Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories ships a million

The Square Enix-Disney collaboration series has now shipped more than 5 million units worldwide.

TOKYO--Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories has shipped a total of 1 million copies worldwide, Square Enix announced today. The Game Boy Advance game was released on November 11 in Japan and December 7 in America.

The Kingdom Hearts series is cocreated by Square Enix and Disney. Players assume the role of Sora, a young boy who must join forces with various Disney characters to fight against mysterious beings called the Heartless. Chain of Memories is a sequel to the original PlayStation 2 game released in 2002, and it will be followed by the release of Kingdom Hearts II, which is currently in development.

Including Chain of Memories, the Kingdom Hearts franchise has shipped more than 5 million copies worldwide.
