Suda 51's Killer Is Dead will be released in North America on August 27, publisher XSeed Games has announced.

Launch copies of the standard edition will come with a soundtrack CD for the game, and an 80-page hardcover art book. Early copies will also contain a Smooth Operator DLC pack that includes a bonus story mission, a bonus Gigolo mission, and in-game outfits for supporting characters Vivienne and Mika.

Killer Is Dead is developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. The company's CEO, Goichi "Suda 51" Suda (Killer 7, No More Heroes) is the game's executive director. The Japanese and Asian version of the game will be released on August 1.

If I watch the gameplay I think they could do much better and it has to many quick time events that makes the game boring and easy. It also doesnot look like a game of this year more like from 2005. It will be sold in Asia but it is not something for Europe and North America.

I think it comes out the same day as FFXIV:RR, sadly with my lack of funds FF wins this day one battle.

Cannot take advantage of that day 1 deal. Damn my wallet. If only dust was an acceptable form of currency.

Suda51 is an awesome game developer, but i sense another commercial flop/cult classic.

Unfortunately not on PC, so Killer is Dead is dead to me.

I loved No More Heroes. I hope this game is as good as that one. It was a great experience.

Definitely interested in this. Looks like No More Heroes on acid, and that can't go wrong.

@Bowser05 I highly recommend Killer7 for GC or PS2, as well as No More Heroes on the Wii or PS3.

@Warlord_Irochi Then my backlog, which will already take years to substantially decrease, would multiply as well :P.

@Hurvl I understand you. Mods make my 300+ hours in Skyrim to increase and increase from time to time. And half my collection remains in "stand by" for yet another week lol

@shingui5 @Hurvl @Warlord_Irochi I usually play one at a time, but I like games with infinite replay value, like RPG's and some shooters. I also like to use mods which prolongs the time I spend with a game.

My backlog of purchased games would probably take a year or 1½ year to finish, but adding my want-to-play-list of games would add several more years. I'm slow/thorough and like it that way, but it does have its disadvantages.
