Justice League canceled
After just seven months of development, Midway pulls the plug on its DC Comics-inspired action game.
Today at the Midway Gamers' Day event in Las Vegas, company officials announced that the publisher has canceled Justice League. No reason was given for the cancellation, which was only briefly mentioned during a presentation.
Based on the comic book-inspired Cartoon Network series, Justice League was announced in July of 2003. Although no screens of the game were ever released, it was set to feature many classic DC Comics characters, including Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter. The game was scheduled for release on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube.
