The next games from Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios will be stuffed with "holy f**king sh**" moments, according to co-founder and chief creative officer Christofer Sundberg.

Speaking with Edge, the industry veteran said Avalanche Studios would rather focus on full-out action than emotional experiences. All of this because, according to Sundberg, games are supposed to be entertainment.

"We've never had any ambition to go very deep with our narrative and focused more on explosive fun. It's entertainment! I have no ambitions to make players cry or have any deeper feelings," Sundberg said. "A great laugh and a big smile as players pull off a completely over-the-top stunt is all I can ask for. I can assure you that with our next games there will be plenty of 'holy f**king sh**s' to go around for everyone!"

Edge also asked Sundberg about the string of mysterious images he has posted to Instagram in the past few months. Some fans may have noticed similarities to the Just Cause series, but in fact, these images were from an all-new, steampunk-style game that has been put on hold.

"They were from a steampunk-style game we had in development that we put on ice," Sundberg said. "I really love that art style, and to combine it with sandbox gameplay is a dream of mine. Fortunately, being an independent developer I can control my own destiny and we'll make something in that world sooner or later."

Sundberg recently revealed that Avalanche Studios was close to signing a deal to make an open-world Star Wars game.

The Swedish developer is currently working on multiple unannounced titles, one of which is not a Superman game. The first of these games is rumored to be announced at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo next month.
