Global Star Software has today announced that JetFighter 5: Homeland Protector for the PC is scheduled for release toward the end of this year. The game, which is currently in development at Interactive Vision, will pit players against a mysterious organization bent on destroying the American way of life and attacking with stolen North Korean air and ground forces.

Players will get to fly in three officially licensed Lockheed Martin aircraft, including the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-22 Raptor, and the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The game will feature more than 30 combat missions in total, and as they progress through the game, players will get to fly over a number of instantly recognizable locations including the Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

JetFighter 5 is currently scheduled for release in North America toward the end of 2003. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
