Gateway has announced its upcoming Gateway Challenge tournament featuring Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, LucasArts' popular Star Wars action game. The tournament will be held June 22-30 in all Gateway stores across the country, and it will feature more than $60,000 in prizes, including a $25,000 grand prize. Players must be 13 years of age or older to participate. For official rules and to register for the tournament, visit the official Gateway Challenge Web site.

Beginning June 22, contestants will be allowed to compete once per day, with only their best score counting toward their final ranking. The tournament will be played on Gateway 700X desktop PCs with Intel Pentium 4 processors and Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 video cards. Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: 13 to 24 and 25 and older. Winners in each category will receive prizes ranging in value from $400 to $5,000. The grand prize winner will receive $25,000, an Nvidia jacket, and an Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 video card.
