Jarrett and Labonte Races to the PlayStation

Codemasters releases its PlayStation stock car racing game.

Comments

Codemasters has shipped Jarrett and Labonte Stock Car Racing for the Sony PlayStation. The game features 23 authentic courses in North America, Europe, South America, Australia, and Asia. Players can also choose from 42 cars, including models from manufacturers such as Ford, Chrysler, and BMW. The commentary in the game is provided by Jarrett's paternal grandfather, Ned Jarrett.

"In the game, if you race the other cars cleanly, they'll pretty much leave you alone. But if you're beating and banging on another car, chances are they're going to come right back at you and do the same to you," said Jason Jarrett. "You see that kind of payback everyday on the racetrack, so it's cool to see it in a video game."

The game retails for US$39.99.
