Japanese police arrest Lineage II hacker
China connection foiled by cops as hacker is arrested after setting up shadow-server farm in home.
NAGASAKI, Japan--Police have arrested 29-year-old Yu Tao on suspicion of obstructing the business operations of NCsoft, wire services reported today. Tao, a Tokyo PC shop owner, alledgedly set up servers at his home in Tokyo's Toshima ward that allowed a large number of Lineage II users from China to illegally access the game. Yu has told investigators that an Internet cafe owner in China asked Tao to set up the servers. Yu started the illegal servers in late July. No other arrests have been made in the case.
