There's a whole lot of brain-training going on in Japan. The fad-turned-craze-turned-phenomenon continued to rage the week of April 10, according to the latest sales figures from industry-research group Media Create.

Once again, the top game was Kahashima Ryuuta Kyouju Kanshuu: Motto Nou o Kitaeru Otona DS Training, Nintendo's self-developed mind game for the Nintendo DS. Two other brain-trainers for the dual-screen handheld, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day and Eigo ga Nigate na Otona no DS Training: Eigo Duke, also returned to the weekly top 10 list, landing at a respective second and sixth.

DS games dominated the Japanese top 10 list once again, holding six of the top 10 slots. But while the Japanese aren't taking to Sony's PlayStation Portable, they still like the PlayStation 2. Sammy's Guilty Gear XX Slash, which was recently previewed by GameSpot, was the top game for the console, debuting in fifth. Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII stuck it out in eighth, followed by two baseball games--Namco's Pro Yakyuu Netsu Star 2006 and Konami's Pro Yakyuu Spirits 3.
