Kesmai Corp. and Accolade's Jack Nicklaus Online Golf Tour is now operational on Kesmai's online games service GameStorm.

This new online golf sim features over 100 downloadable courses with "unlimited" camera angles, definable weather, a real-world physics model, and human opponents competing in real time. Players can compete in foursomes in gross score or handicap tournaments, most of which can take under an hour to play.

Tournament leader boards are displayed in real time, and nonplayers can watch from a gallery. A database will store all online tournaments.

Purchasers of Jack Nicklaus 4 from Accolade can also upload their own courses created by the retail game's Course Designer.

"With its extraordinary realism, gameplay and massive community designed to mimic real life, Jack Nicklaus Online Golf Tour promises to be one of the most popular online entertainment products ever produced," said Chris Holden, CEO of Kesmai Corp. "We are excited to be working with Accolade to present this compelling first title in what will soon be an impressive line-up of sports titles available on GameStorm."

"Jack Nicklaus Online Golf Tour allows thousands of golfers from around the world to compete in tournaments via the Internet," said Jim Barnett, president and CEO of Accolade. "Kesmai's expertise in online gaming combined with Accolade's strong golf franchise will set the standard for online golf games."

Of course, the designers who worked on the Nicklaus-licensed online game for Accolade will now be working with Activision - where all future Nicklaus-licensed games will be published. Have a look at GameSpot News' recent story on Accolade's relinquishing the license in Related Links.
