Internet Users Multiply

The Internet Industry Almanac is projecting that Web surfing will be a regular activity for 327 million people by the year 2000

The stats break out as follows: United States-based users will account for 40 percent of the 327 million netizens (132 million). The US will be trailed by Germany at 22.9 million users, Japan at 21.9 million, the United Kingdom with 17 million users, and France with 12.6 million Web users.
